People often comment on how healthy my cats look. Especially considering they’re ferals. . . . In a way, my cats have the best of both worlds. They get an incredible amount of exercise romping around in the hills every day. And they stay alert, on the constant lookout for predators and prey — which keeps them sharp. They also get an incredible amount of physical stimuli with all the things they encounter in the woods, which keeps their minds active. Plus it’s a constant agility test navigating across the steep terrain. Then factor in all the sunshine and fresh air they get. . . And then on top of that, unlike most ferals, they get an incredible diet of top-of-the-line protein (lots of fresh meat and cheese along with the regular cat food). They’re like professional athletes constantly in training. They’re like super cats in a way.
