I’ve got a lot of anger and hatred in me. I consider it one of my worst character traits. Usually my anger and hatred is inspired by my frustrated desires, my thwarted desires. Stuff like: I’m just about to walk into the front door of a store to buy something, but three people suddenly appear out of nowhere in front of me, one step ahead of me. And now I’ve got to wait on line behind them before I get served by the clerk. I’m like: AAIRGHHH!!! KILL KILL KILL!!
I notice a lot of other people who constantly express their anger and hatred. But they’re smarter than me. They direct their anger and hatred against all the people and institutions that they feel are responsible for all the suffering in the world. So they’re constantly expressing their anger and hatred in the name of goodness and righteousness. And their friends and peer groups back them up on this, because they also express their anger and hatred towards the same targets. So they don’t look at their anger and hatred as a character flaw or a bad thing. But as a way to make this world of ours a better place. Hating in the name of goodness.
I swear I can’t do anything right. I can’t even hate in the right way.
