Very little is known about Jane’s life. Apparently she grew up in the Los Angeles area. She married, divorced, and re-married a guy named Craig Baker. She had two children, of which almost nothing is known. And I’ve read her husband died in a drunken car crash, of which she blamed herself and felt heavy guilt over — though that might be just a legend. . . She’s was likely just one more faceless person living on the fringe of society who would have been completely forgotten if she hadn’t been forever immortalized in Charles Bukowski’s writing.
Good observation. Good Ol’ Henry reminded us that every human is unique and deserves to be remembered by someone.
