The biggest surprise (to me) was when a wall of People’s Park activists confronted the wall of cops in the middle of Bowditch St. I figured that would be head-knocking time. But instead the cops went into retreat mode and back-pedaled all the way down the street. Until they finally disappeared. Which gave the activists the opportunity to tear down the fences and reclaim the park.
