She’s had a pretty hectic time over the last three months, nurturing and protecting her two kittens in an often harsh and hostile world. It’s a lot of work and a lot of effort. So you can see she’s a little tired at this point. But I suspect she might also be feeling proud of herself for having pretty much succeeded at her biological imperative, and in the back of her mind she might also be feeling a bit relieved knowing that the job is about over and pretty soon she’ll be weaning and cutting her kittens loose.
