The intelligence of cats

If anyone ever questions the intelligence of cats: On this day last year: 10-pound blob of fur Micro Scaredy the feral cat — living in a hard, dangeous, hostile, or at best mostly indifferent world — finds the perfect place to have her litter of two kittens and nurture them to maturity; a secluded spot in the deserted Cal football stadium. Then she hooks up with a human (me) to personally deliver them food on a platter every night on schedule. Then, when her kittens were ready to be weaned, she hooked up with two more humans to help find her kittens the perfect home to live out their days.

If only I could be half that smart.
