People’s Park

I keep wondering how the University is going to play it. If, and when, they decide to try and run all of the street people out of People’s Park when they start their student housing construction project.

Will they send in an army of cops with handcuffs and clubs, knocking heads and dragging people out of their tents and arresting anybody who won’t leave the premises?

Or will they build a big fence around the entire site and try to fence them all in until they finally leave voluntarily? (That’s the approach the University took with the Oak Grove tree-sitters at the football stadium site.)

Or is there a third approach I haven’t thought of??
