Two brothers

Stumbled across this photo. My father, me, and my older brother Les. I was probably 15, a sophomore, my brother was probably 17, a senior. It’s an interesting case study of the two Backwords brothers. My older brother was completely normal (and I don’t mean that as a put-down). And I was always abnormal (and I don’t mean that as a put-down).

He was a star athlete on the high school varsity basketball team — was only 5-9 but could dunk a basketball. Married his high school sweetheart (still happily married nearly 50 years later). Got a good job, bought a house in the suburb, raised a successful family with kids and grandkids.

I forget what my point was when I started this post……
